About me

Who is behind this? Francesca – I am the creator, author and photographer of The Voyager’s blog. Being an untiring traveller and passionate about life experiences, my posts are inspired by the people, places and things that make my days special.

Born and raised in Northern Italy, in the city where even Italians from other regions admit you can find the best food, Parma, I am a proud Italian and German citizen. Thanks to my dad’s work I started travelling as a kid and  I experienced my first long-haul flight to Africa when five years old. As speaking one language only was too constraining, at the age of ten I started learning new languages. Today I can communicate in Italian, English, German, Spanish and French – this helps me to gain the most from my travels and experiences.

Over the past ten years, I have lived in seven different places, including Milano (Italy), Valencia and Barcelona (Spain) as well as London (UK). Since January 2009, I am based in the hometown of flashy cars and balsamic vinegar, Modena (Italy).

After getting my Master Degree in Law, I moved into Marketing and Communications, where I have worked for over seven years both for PR agencies as well as in-house. When not working, I am busy – someone would say really busy –  travelling, taking pictures, writing, running, sailing, socializing, shopping…just to name a few.

    Hi
Thanks for the great company on the train from Milan to Geneva. Looking forward to seeing some sailing pictures from Croatia. That part of our trip was the best part.

    Take Care Stephen
